CC, ... Absolutely, ... have followed this economic discussion with interest. What about the potential 'X-Factor', ...

The amount of bonds held by Japan is massive. The country, (all you rock types help me out here), I believe sits on 6 plates, more then any other country in the world. The last major earthquake was about 50 or so years ago, ... the resulting fire storms destroyed most of the major cities.

When Japan has it's next major earthquake,... they will be forced to repatriate most of the funds with effects of soaring gold/silver prices, collapsing stock/bond markets and rising interest rates.
