'I think that's a good summary. My own parents will officially be homeless in one week, primary caused by inflation outstripping their pension/SS gains of the past 15-20 years since they retired.'

But how can that be if many bright people tell me there is no inflation? Tight management of finances, good investing and benefiting from the housing boom bailed many out. I see the haves and have nots even in my own family. Others not so fortunate are hurting from the incredible rise in costs of living. I've never seen more homeless people as there are today. Many thrown on the streets because of the housing bubble and a shortage of affordable apartments. I wish them the best.
