Certain Americans feel we are bound to Israel, even MORE than if it WERE the 51st state. I think they really want Iraq to remain as it is, because, let's face it, If Iraq becomes a functioning democracy, it's people will probably feel twoard Israel as the Iranians do.

So, it's better that we remain in Iraq and prevent it from becoming any kind of a functioning country, democracy, dictatorship, Islamic Republic, whatever, from the Zionist perspective.

But, it's no fun from the AMERICAN perspective.
