The gun control debate is a lot like abortion; heavily charged with emotions and dependent very much on one's particular assumptions, and cherrypicked data. My only observation is having lived in several different countries, those with low guns/high gun control were safer by several magnitudes than the high guns/low gun control countries. But getting from high guns to low guns is uncharted territory. The best the US can do is to regulate the flow within the bounds of the Constitution. My wishy-washy position, and I am sticking by it, LOL.
