UnitedHealth enrolls 5.7 million in drug plans biz.yahoo.com bizjournals.com Tuesday June 20, 10:36 am ET UnitedHealth Group Inc. said it has enrolled 5.7 million people in its Medicare prescription drug programs. That includes 4.5 million who signed up for standalone drug plans and 1.2 million receiving a drug benefit as part of a larger Medicare Advantage plan. Of the 4.5 million, 3.2 are in UnitedHealth's AARP-branded prescription drug plan. Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth (NYSE: UNH) is the nation's second-largest managed care company and has taken over the largest share of the more than 3,000 private health plans offered by about 90 companies throughout the country.
