Dennis, thanks for this and the many other links you provide.

EIA projections, even if they use valid assumptions in their projections, are IMO of limited value. I find it interesting that they project out to 2030 using data from 2003. No data from 2004, 2005, and partial data from 2006? I question the validity of their projections, or anyone's projections going out 25 years. They constantly change their ST projections because of changing worldwide dynamics, so why bother publishing numbers of what the world will be like far into the future. It's pure speculation and garbage as far as I'm concerned. We can all state, with a high degree of confidence, that world energy consumption will increase by 2030. For the EIA to state that it will increase by 71% is not worth the resources they spent to get that speculative number.

I project that number to be 142%, using my assumption that this administration will downplay the true extent of our energy crisis until after the elections. Now who do you believe, the EIA or me? <VBG>
