Your mantra is getting tedious, rruffy. The difference is that there is ample proof of pump and dump manipulation, hedge funds reporting inflated values on pinkies in their portfolio, and OTC ceo's entering knowingly into death spiral financing used only to continue to pay them selves.

Of the Burrell blather of 7,000 (or 10,000) small cap companies driven into bankrupcy by the evil naked shorts, there is not a trace, and his insane claims of $14 trillion dollars in investmtor losses from the neferious practice are false on their face.

And, of course, we have the "get shorty" suits routinely thrown out of court before discovery, and Byrnes utter failure to even mention naked shorting in his Rocker suit, despite his other ravings.

The hedge fund certainly needs to be regulated, particularly as the huge credit risks involved in increasingly complicated derivative transactions that they may not even understand any more. But naked shorting by hedge funds in thinly traded, illiquid stocks ain't a problem.

Or do you buy the mythical claims of the CMKX cult, even with all the evidence to the contrary?
