The fact that you would still oppose the DP even if you witnessed the crime means that you do not have a "sole objection". You seem to have at least two objections.

To me, the deterrent effect, which is dishonestly challenged by anti-DP forces, greatly exceeds any perceived error or nefariousness in the system.
