Feingold is 100% credibility with those who oppose the Iraq War. He voted against it. He is also a very ethical guy. Remember McCain-Feingold? You are thinking of Dianne Feinstein. Together with Kerry and Murtha they make a powerful argument which is very hard to dispute. The war was a huge mistake, especially considering the dishonest, corrupt and incompetent way it was carried out. It has greatly weakened our nation, robbed the taxpayers and decimated our military. Just like Vietnam, the longer we stay there the worse it gets. Bushies continue lying about all of this, while their corporate cronies make windfall profits hand over fist from the war costs and war premium on oil. Time for all honest Americans to agree this war neds to end. Also, it is very possible that as soon as we redeploy, the violence will simmer down substantially. In any case, the Iraqis have stood up, so now it's time for us to stand down. That's not cutting and running it's just sane, common sense. There is no way to win militarily there anyway and our troops badly need and deserve a break. The military is not with Bush on this anymore, they too have woken up.
