Anyone can see from the Laws (below) that the exile wasn't intended as a vacation. But as it happens, most Jews no longer keep these laws and, in fact, do regard the exile as a vacation.

The Jews CANNOT keep these laws even if they tried. Why can't you understand or accept this?

They need a valid priesthood and they have none. They need a temple and they have none. All males are commanded to appear three times a year before the Lord. Obviously this is only feasible when the Jews are all in the land, and can make the journey to a temple in Jerusalem which of course does not exist.

The holy prophet Daniel didn't DARE to controvert the law of Moses by observing the Jewish law when he was outside of Jerusalem. See Daniel chapter 10.

Then came the word of the Lord of hosts unto me, saying, Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves? (Zechariah 7.4)

Do you see how the Lord, speaking through his holy prophet Zechariah, explicitly relates how the Jews were NOT fasting and feasting to Him, but to themselves, those 70 years they were carried off captive in Babylon?

So it is today. The Jews make a pretense of feasting and fasting all over the disapora when they are in strange lands. They are doing this for themselves, certainly not for the Lord.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land? (Psalms 137.1-4)

You see? They could not sing the Lord's song when they were captives in a strange land, outside of Jerusalem.

The holy Jewish prophets understood this, and they are blessed and reigning with Christ.

The stupid and insolent Jews understand none of this, and think they are pleasing God with their untimely observance of Jewish rites outside of Jerusalem which even their holy Fathers didn't dare to perform.
