I read somewhere that humans minds are already effected and to some extent... controlled by an inorganic being (or set of beings) who are already cooking our butts. The catholic church calls these beings (or being) "the devil", and the oven is called hell. Sounds perfectly plausible to me. Practically every plant and animal has all sorts of other organic life forms feeding on it. Why not inorganic life forms we cannot see? We have a purpose in life, just like all organic things we know that are alive and are around us.
