The Geneva Convention forbids the invasion of a foreign country. Iraqi insurgents have every right to try to rid their country of evil oppressors and to try to prevent the genocide currently taking place. If Iraqi factions want to kill each other then fine, its no business of Americas.

Insurgents are a good thing. The US has made the ordinary citizen into "insurgents" and therefore feel justified to eradicate any Iraqis they run across. So it is hard to not sympathise with the Iraqi population, no matter what they must do to get the Americans out of their country and hand them another Vietnam style drubbing.
