Yes we don't need to go to war with Mexico, and we don't want to go to war with Mexico, and Mexico doesn't want or need to go to war with us. Which makes all of Cyberken's talk of war with Mexico rather odd and irrelevant.

all we need to do is round up all the illegals here and have a VOTE to ANNEX the country into the USA.

The first is unlikely, the 2nd is unconnected to the first and is even more unlikely. Also if we made such a vote we would probably have to go to war with Mexico to make it actually happen. I have no doubt that even with a large part of our army overseas in places like Iraq and Afghanistan that we could still smash the Mexican army pretty quickly, but guerrilla/insurrection warfare would probably continue after "major combat operations" where over.
