People down the street are selling one of the fancy houses that always used to have teams of Hispanics in the yard tweaking the landscaping, only yesterday as I drove by I saw a white yardman sitting on the sidewalk, taking a break. He had a look of total despair and misery I've never seen on a yardman before -- but then, I've never seen a white yardman before. We do our own yardwork, and not in the heat of the day. You have to be acclimated to do hard sweaty work in the summer heat. Start when you're very young, don't overdo it. Skinny young blond guy like that's risking heat stroke or heat exhaustion until he gets acclimated (if he ever does.) The Hispanic guys are from places that get 110 in the summer, 89 degrees is nothing to them, and they don't push themselves too hard in the middle of the day.
