Hawk, you sound like those wackos in ME who think US is to omnipotent that everything that happens is just according to some evil American masterplan. Has it occurred to you that there are good reasons Ahmadinejad won the election? As in the public saw the ineffectiveness of the reformers? Or perhaps they liked Ahmadinejad because he is a war hero and has an impeccable record of honesty? Or that may be they figured it is best to have a unified government at a time of crisis rather than having too many in-fightings?
