Thanks! It is truly funny! There was a period of several years when I was very interested in literature, vocabulary books, and words in general. Probably for the last 25 years, however, I have learned very few new words (and forgotten many through disuse). It is hardly a case of saturation, as overall my vocabulary is limited. I can think of a few reasons why many of us stop improving our word skills. Much of it is simply turning our backs on the excitement of learning...
