Ken Lay brought himself down. The Feds had no choice to convict him despite the fact he was Bush's #1 ally and supporter for more than a decade. Bush will likely pardon the entire Enron gang. But the Bush government has still refused to investigate the massive energy gouging Enron took part in with Bush-cheney's approval.

The justice department is trying to do their job despite Bushie rightwing coverups. Abramoff and Cunningham are the two big examples, plus Ronnie Earle's brave stand against Tom Delay's political crimewave in Texas. Then the CIA demanded a prosecutor for the White House Plamegate crimes. All this happened despite Bushies in congress refusing to investigate a single one of the GOP's big fat corrupt bribe-takers.

Meanwhile one democrat is found guilty of taking bribe and the dem leadership condemns him immediately. So do I and so should all of us, but corrupt politicians ALL need to be indicted, not just Jefferson and a few others. That's what honest leadership is supposed to be all about. Policing our government and not covering up for massive corruption.

The problem is the foxes are guarding the chicken coop. Including two big crooks named Cheney and Rove.
