WHAT IS? (That 'multiple taxation is unfortunately common', or that the estate tax is considered to be less regressive then most other taxes?)
Care to try to back up your vague taunt with actual arguments?

My previous statement, in full:
Multiple taxation is (unfortunately) quite common.
And --- as I'm sure most anyone would agree with --- taxation of inherited wealth is generally considered to have a macro economic effect that is less 'regressive' then, for example, taxes on CONSUMPTION (sales taxes, etc.), taxes on INCOME (triggered at far lower levels then 'wealth transfer taxes' hence, by definition: more regressive), or even TARIFFS, most 'USER FEES', etc.
Of course, as always, the 'devil is in the details'. |
