Seven Muslims charged in Miami for conspiring to wage jihad against the United States June 23, 2006, 7:03 PM (GMT+02:00) debka.com They discussed a plot to blow up Chicago’s Sears Tower, the tallest building in the US, the local FBI office and other government buildings, in pursuance of the war on America and in the hope of eclipsing al Qaeda’s 9/11 attacks. An FBI undercover operation found the suspects, 5 of whom are Americans, sleeping locked in a warehouse. Two are illegal residents, one from Haiti. They are quoted as pledging allegiance but having no connection to al Qaeda and vowing to “kill all the devils they can.” No weapons or explosives were found in their possession. Their activities were termed aspirational rather operational and posing no danger to the residents of South Florida.
