That article was mentioned on the wsj law blog. There are 74 comments on it so far, some of them are really funny

They are funny. Both good and bad. :)

A significant number of my classmates won't practice law when they graduate. My three best friends here surely won't, they hated the experience. Of those that do go on to practice, another significant number will burn out and leave. I don't know anyone at my school that wasn't aware of that when they applied.

As for me, I'll probably get a job at a small to medium firm, and see where I am in 5-10 years. I very well may start my own non-legal business after several years. Who knows? What I do know, is that going to law school was one of the best decisions I ever made. I know more about how my country works, and how to maximize opportunities and minimize liabilities. I'm a better citizen, I will have made connections with people I never would have met otherwise, and I'll be a licensed professional. What more could I ask for the $90k I'll spend?
