Selling less Canadian product for more U.S Dollars is NOT an undesirable outcome, even though a rising Looney is caused by selling more Canadian product.

You can not become more prosperous by decreasing your wage, as a country , or an individual. Is a person better off working 40 hours at 20 dollars an hour, or 20 hours at 40 dollars an hour? A country's wage/currency is no different.
