Nadine -

Can you provide an example of a democracy that was created by a foreign army fighting an unconventional war?

I can provide an example of a repressive regime overthrown, and a democracy established, completely without the use of violence. It was a war won using only ideas and ideals.

By the way, both Germany and Japan were completely devastated in WWII. The costs of that war, in terms of innocent human life, were staggering. If that's the model for establishing a democracy by force, then we've got a very long way to go in Iraq.
