No, actually there is little if any grass in a jungle. In clearings, yes, but generally the not. Due to lighting deficits, only fast growing vines and plants established by runners can survive under a jungle canopy. Not that it isn't the same in thickly wooded forest of any kind. ;^) In temperate areas where leaves fall, the floor of the forest may become covered with fast growing, wide leaf plants prior to the new cover of tree leaves maturing.
I am surely, no expert, this is simply my personal experience.
One note, I heard that they have discovered trees give off methane (a greenhouse gas), so the eco-nuts may want to cut the rain forest down now.
