Noland is completely ignoring the leading indicators of the economy. Housing is taking a pounding. Our economy is housing centric, living off the wealth effect and equity withdrawals.

RV sales are off dramatically. ATV sales are off. Comp. store retail sales are increasing at only the rate of price (unit sales are flat at best).

While Noland thinks the Fed is way behind the curve, I would argue that they've already gone too far. A recession and housing bust is a near certainty.
