"RETAINED BY THE PROVINCE WHERE IT IS PRODUCED,"

But in a free country, you can live in the province you want. Your position is based on your belief that these folks cannot make the transition from being segregated by religion, and your solution (or resolution) banks on it. No "hope" for anything better. No "hope" for human progress.

"THAT AIN'T A 'SIDE'!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Yes it is. You seem intent on making the "sides" the various religious factions. I say the sides are the good people who want peace and can tolerate different views and the bad guys to be the side that can't. That side is a cancer to the region and to the world, and must be wiped out. This is the war on terrorism in a nutshell. Don't over complicate it. Your view actually contains a bias in my view in that you seem to think certain groups of people cannot achieve this harmony. I know they can, but don't know how long it will take them to learn that they can do it. Lots of ingrained hatred that has been TAUGHT to them over centuries.

"Unless you can point me to some sort of inter-faith PEACE Party or something"

I veiw my debating skills as being pretty decent not from my extensive knowledge of the details, but in picking out where the argument falls apart. Where yours does is exemplified by this statement. People of ALL WALKS OF LIFE can live in peace with tollerence of other views. You don't need to form a party, you just do it. Me and you could be from very different groups, but we don't kill those we disagree with. That allows us to live in peace, and I believe Arabs can do it too. But in the current environment it is necesary for those who want to live in peace to KILL those who do not. It is ugly to be sure, but society cannot tolerate those who will kill those they disagree with. The GOOD side DOES NOT kill those it disagrees with, we KILL THOSE WHO KILL. Removing a cancer is the best way I can think of the charactarize it. America has a little of this cancer as every country and society does. The middle east has it bad. Need some major surgery over there, and like it or not, Bush is the surgeon.

"How the Hell is *that* gonna happen?"

It is happening. With the support from the rest of the world it would happen quicker. Too many haters out there though so it makes it harder. That is why it is incomprehensible to me that there are MANY people who say we are worse than the terrorist. Blind fools in most cases, radical haters in others. Some are just like the terrorists, but afraid to actually kill people and themselves. Some are terrorists.

"(Democracy doesn't GUARANTEE freedom"

I agree. It is a sticky situation to be sure. Freedom needs to be gauranteed in the constitution that elected officials uphold. When there is freedom and democracy there is a MUCH GREATER chance for peace. If they elect people that want to attack free societies and the U.S. in particular we will have to take them down and start over. With SUPPORT from the INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY Iraq has a good chance to succeed. We are helping them KILL THE PEOPLE THAT KILL INNOCENTS. If we succeed in that (with our limited International support) we will win as will the Iraqi people (the tolerent peaceful ones of all religions) and the civilized world.

"I think you can count THAT out. :-)"

Too bad. In large part because so many of our own leaders dishonestly portray this very noble and necesary effort as an act of a corrupt and inept President. This is the most troubling and disgusting aspect of this whole operation. I think there are a few of our leaders who should actually be tried for treason. Calling our President a liar for instance is a lie in itself. John Kerry is a prime example. He voted for the war, and in '03 said pulling out early would be a HUGE MISTAKE. Now he says pull out early and calls the President's plan "Lie and Die".

An absolutely dispicable human being imo, and one that is actually HELPING THE TERRORISTS.

If guys like him and Kenedy and the folks leaking our National secrets were on our side it would be harder for the idiots in France and Spain to hate this great nation so deeply. But he wants to play on that hatred (like the Jacksons and Sharptons of the world do with black folks) for his own PERSONAL GAIN. Absolutely DISGUSTING imo.

"And, when we are finally out, Iran will be the dominant influence."

Like I said, you are a pessimist!;-) We'll see. I am a good over evil type of guy, and think in the not too distant future Iran will fall into line also. They are a good example of a society that needs to change. Most on the planet agree, but your view is that THEY WILL WIN.

I "hope" not. And I believe my "hope" is well founded. This war on terrrorism will take a few decades. There will be a few major setbacks that will have the left screaming for the good guys to quit. If we can avert someone shooting a nuke off and get Iran, NK and Iraq into modern times the world will be better than ever!
