Srexley, The "Great Spirit" is the term they used when first approached by the white men. Today, every tribe I have been around at pow wows refer to God as the Creator. At every pow wow, they say a prayer that is as devoted to God as any other ethnic group and more so than some. They also display the American Flag with reverence and also fly the POW/MIA flag. They are good Americans. Even though I have some Indian blood, I look more like a white man, but have been welcomed with open arms at every pow wow I have attended. They are not biased at all. I don't know where you live, but if interested, you can check the internet for Indian Pow Wows, and may find some in your area. I think you might enjoy going to one some time.
