What makes you believe you DESERVE to enjoy the benefits of such a system, if you're not a principled advocate for everyone else on this planet enjoying the same rights and benefits??

Bush is a fake. He has no interest in freedom and democracy other than to use the phrase to send fodder out to war.

Freedom and democracy in North Korea? Forget it, they don't have any resources the US needs. All Bush cares about is whether NK has a bomb and a delivery system. A damn good concern, but freedom and democracy in North Korea is not on his radar screen.

Freedom and democracy in Pakistan? Nope. Bush can pretty much can guess how that population will vote and they would rather have Musharaff.

Freedom and democracy in Saudi Arabia. Nope. They are the one big oil supplier in the mid-east we can count on. Forget about public execution by de-capitation, human tracking, women's rights. Bush can look the other way on those if we have a guaranteed oil supply and Saudi contracts with US oil companies. [Did you pick up the news report that the Saudis are giving scholarships to go to US flight schools?]

Freedom and democracy in the election of Hamas? Nope. We don't like those Hamas people. We prefer to starve the Palestinians as punishment for their expression of democracy.

Freedom and democracy in Venezuela? If they would have voted from someone other than Chavez Bush might have been ok with it. When Chavez was overthrown [briefly] the Administration was pretty darn quiet about democracy.

Freedom and democracy in communist China? Nope. Patent infringement, knockoffs and the yen exchange rate are top priorities. Trade is the issue, not human rights.

Freedom and democracy in Somalia? Nope. CIA support of the warlords and anarchy were more important.
