i had a friend running a gasoline terminal up there . it was one time Buffalo declared a state of emergency, it was snowing for days and everything was shut off the road. Cops would come bye his house and pick him up and escort him with a plow to the terminal. then several city plows would run in front of tanker trucks to make deliveries of gasoline to keep the city running. I would say it was around early 70's? oh, he got home that night the same way. never could understand why he didn't just sleep at the terminal.
