Here are some additional general broadcast messages of interest to Y2K aspect of Toporo's business:

After discussing this with a number of coworkers, we think that a session on embedded microprocessors would be relevant and very timely since most people are only just starting to become aware of this potential high risk element of the Y2K issue. A possible group to talk to in Canada is Kenonic Controls (an engineering company) in Calgary who are doing some work for a number of clients in this area.

The September, 1997 issue of Manufacturing Systems has a special supplement on "Crunch Time So Many Systems, So Little Time, Year 2000 Problem". Please check it out, it's a good read.

Automation Research Corporation
Year 2000 Mailing List

As long as we're on the subject of interesting articles on Y2K, the September issue of Information Week has 3 good articles. One on Chipmaker solutions for year 2000 problems, one on Federal Government's underestimating the total cost of Y2K compliance, and another on how retailers are coming to grips with Y2K issues.
