Brinker is effectively saying that the demand curve is very flat and highly elastic and price shocks push the supply curve left and up reducing output much more than they raise prices. I tend to agree to some degree. Like Mish I think deflation is more the situation than inflation going forward.

Of course Brinker doesn't explain this very well (as usual).
