LOL, yea I always wondered how the atheist "knew" there was no god, why wasn't he/she just 'agnostic'? I then deduced over time from my friends (this was never an important issue for me, just wanted to sweep religion under a rock where it belonged) that my atheist friends 'thought' they were smarter about the whole thing and seemed to need to have an opinion about it... the agnostic ones (camp I settled happily into) just didn't really want to discuss the whole stupid thing!!

So to me atheism looks much like religious fundamentalists... it's a "thing" worth believing in, fighting for, and measuring people, laws, and actions against.

OTOH, I'm sure the god that many atheists have in their heads REALLY IS denied by simple common sense... but they seem to project that onto others gods.
