Hi JT : Good to hear from you, I'm sort of out of
date. I've focused on my boat work for the last two
years with just a glance at the market and missed
seeing the BIG swing into ETFs.
Now with some time on my hands I'm astonished at
the variety and number of them flooding the landscape.
I've read all typs of reports and forcasts in the last 3 weeks, but I'm not sure any of them know were this trend
is ultimately going.
For sure it's going to put pressure on the
traditional mutual funds ability to attract money.
Also it's making it easy for U.S. investors to own
a wide variety of foreign issues, which in effect
robs from some of the money that was going into U.S.
stocks and funds.
I'm both astonished and fascinated.
Here is a url I like
etfscreen.com
I'm old enough to remember when the humble
Volkswagon made it's debut followed by the Datson
( now Toyota ) and how how they changed the whole
landscape of the Auto industry, well I think
all these ETFs are going to do the same to the Market
Landscape, no doubt there will be drop outs
but some others ( like Global ETFS) are subject to evently dominate trading volume.
