Yes, Rodger started a commodity index and it was brokered in part by Refco... <smile> maybe that's why he has to sell his NY accommodations...?

His Index RICI was up 266% out of 1998

He believes the key words are "Rising Aspirations and Epic Entrepreneurial Zeal"...!!!

Short of bird-flu or a global financial crisis... he expects the commodities world of investment to keep attracting new monies and public interest.... as the need for hard resources remains strong.

He doesn't believe speculators are the cause of higher commodities prices...

He argues these commodity index funds are minuscule compared with the stock and bond indexes... plus commodities index funds must roll futures forward and this relieves buying pressure on the nearby contracts.

Finally, it’s a surge in global demand for raw materials that will increase for decades... not just 15 years... of course with the necessary volatility to cycle the investment monies.
