I agree with you Hawk and i would act the same. But when we do, we need to recognize that doing this for the public good might leave us exposed to civil/criminal charges down the road. In a sense its just like civil disobedience. When you break the law, you must pay the consequences. As far as torture knowing this separates the Jack Bauers from the sadists at Abu Ghraib.
So if you torture a guy and prevent another 9/11 and you later get convicted and sent to jail, I will come visit and i hope you will do the same for me.
