Perhaps you've misread me a little.

I'm not on record as touting those 500 devices as a smoking gun for WMDs.

I'm am saying that these devices in and of themselves, when bundled with other explosives, are each a WMD. How large is arguable. The fact is real. And the intent to use them, by our enemies when found, is also very real

And no, in the scheme of things I believe we have yet to make a case for WMDs.

I find it interesting that countries (India and Pakistan) close to Iraq now have WMDs and to date are allies of ours. Doesn't it make sense that we put efforts forth to keep the damn things out of the hands of countries we know to be enemies? Isn't that part of what this whole thing is about?

To make fun of, and to poo poo events like this and what took place in Miami as innocuous, seems a little disingenuous to me. Do you find the NY Times to be a responsible citizen, too?

In the meantime, it remains to be seen as to whether I eat crow or not.
