If a serial killer strangles six coeds and the story has been on the front pages for months, the seventh victim doesn't become unnewsworthy just because the story has already been done.

Especially after long, drawn out sagas like Watergate and Iran-Contra where bits dribbled out one by one and eventually added up to a much larger, nastier picture.

This is only the third or fourth inning in the broader game of examining and judging the conduct of the overall "war on terror". Still lots of action to come, no doubt, especially if the Dems take control of one or both houses of Congress this fall.
