And by the way, the President doesn't take an oath to "protect the American people." He takes an oath to uphold the Constitution.

I respond:

Hey, I hate to tell you but isn't protecting the welfare of the American people part of the fricken Constitution? Doh!

Exactly. The two are not mutually exclusive. Only Bush/Cheney/Addington/Gonzales seem to think they are.

At this rate this debate is going nowhere. Are you going to answer the question or not? Let me reiterate:
