It's GWB's responsibility. We all know what he has done for the environment here in America.

The environment in America is demonstrably cleaner that it was a generation or two ago. Rivers that were open sewers and toxic waste dumps are now healthy and thriving. The air is cleaner, too. Power plants and factories have smokestack scrubbers. Cars are now virtually pollution free.

There are certainly instances where improvements can be made, but there are also situations where excessive regulations are unwarranted and counter productive. Calling Bush a "polluter" is simply politically motivated hyperbole.

Another point that really bothers me (and accentuates the fact that this issue has been thoroughly politicized) is the failure, by many with an agenda, to differentiate CO2 from true pollutants. CO2 is not pollution. It's a naturally occurring part of the atmosphere without which, plants could not grow (in fact, higher levels enhance growth) and the earth would be locked in a ball of ice.

I really dislike the fact that this global warming issue has taken a hard turn away from science into the realm of emotionalism and political game playing...
