Casey doesn't tell Dumbya and Darth Cheney anything they don't want to listen. So it is basically these two incompetent chickenhawks in charge of the invasion and a pliant puppet like Casey saying whatever it is they want him to say.

If they needed real and honest advice, they would have listened to independent thinkers like Shinseki, who told them point-blank that without some 500,000 soldiers, we would not be able to calm post-war Iraq. But he was kicked out and instead we are left with yes-men like Franks, Casey, Abizaid et al.
