Saddam was not involved in terrorism except as a PR stunt paying the Palestinians. Same thing Bush's Saudi pals have been doing for decades, Saddam did it a few times very late in the game.

Saddam was not at all involved with Al Qaida or 9-11, therefore he does not qualify as being part of the War On Terror.

Saddam was only a menace to his own people once we had him in a box. And he was very much in that box. Still, it was good to make sure he had no WMD's. However, that didn't mean we had to invade and occupy that huge country, especially without a post-invasion plan or enough troops and allies.
