Yeah sure, there are variances in opinion. I wouldn't call that article, full of politics, science. Any scientist boldly asserting itself to be purveying the "truth" against the majority opinion in the scientific community, is in all likelyhood lying. You believe everything you read?

You should read articles about Global Dimming. The fact of the matter is that there are two forces working against each other, Global warming by Greenhouse effect of CO2 etc. and Global Dimming by accumulation of particulates from pollution in the atmosphere. The net winner is warming, thanks to pollution controls in the Western hemisphere. The crux of the matter is that as the far east reduces their air pollution (as they are slowly recognizing to be a leading health hazard), the global dimming effect will fade and global warming will become more and more predominant and its effects will become accelerated. Pollution controls do not reduce CO2 emmissions.

Pretty scary stuff, eh. Kind of flies in the face of the solar activity postulation, doesn't it? Who'd'a thunk?
