I've come to think this means less than it once did.

I'm a supporter of gridlock and I have regularly voted to keep control of Washington split. The same party in control of the WH and both houses of Congress was considered by me to be a nightmare. But as it turns out, with the GOP running all three, they still can't get anything done, so maybe I don't need to actively seek out gridlock by splitting control. :/
