Lundin Mining Buys Stake in Russian Zinc Deposit for $125 Mln 2006-06-29 09:26 (New York) By Danielle Rossingh June 29 (Bloomberg) -- Lundin Mining Corp., a company that owns Sweden's biggest zinc mine, said it will spend $125 million on a 49 percent stake in a Russian zinc and lead deposit. The Ozernoe project, located in the republic of Buryatia in Russia, ``has the capability of easily doubling our zinc production,'' Karl-Axel Waplan, chief executive of the Vancouver-based company, said today in a CCNMatthews statement. --Editor: Casey
