re: So basically they ruled that the game is for all the marbles and fairness isn't a concern. Look for redistricting to be done every year or so in some states as the two parties race to cut the other totally out of the game.

Another reason for a third party. Assuming a 1/3 1/3 1/3 split, or something close to it, no party could gain the clout to fix the game.
