Darwin used his theories about survival of the fittest to explain how species adapt and change and how the environment naturally selects the most fit. We can observe and replicate this process in nature so the mechanism of adaptation becomes scientific fact.

You extract this simple fact to explain the evolution of life in the universe as a simple construct. It is however only one among many theories explaining how life in the universe has come to this point. Theories are belief systems. You have also shown that we can observe how communication and the culture of ideas impacts evolution. What you fail to consider is that the facts of adaptation may be only one small piece of the puzzle rather than all encompassing truth.
