Copper Gains Most in a Month, Leads a Metals Surge in London
2006-06-29 11:21 (New York)

By Chanyaporn Chanjaroen
June 29 (Bloomberg) -- Copper led a surge in metals prices
on the London Metal Exchange today, rising the most in more than
a month.
Copper for delivery in three months on the LME jumped $430,
or 6.2 percent, to $7,335 a metric ton as of 4:21 p.m. local
time. A close at that price would be the largest gain since May
23. Prices rose to record $8,800 a ton May 11.
