Theories are belief systems. wrong. They are backed up by facts and peer review. That doesn't change the situation. As long as there are plausible gaps, alternative theories, unknowns, or doubts, a theory requires the support of believers searching for truth that will advance the theory. There are evidentiary 'facts' and peer reviews by scholars of all disciplines to back up every mainstream belief system, the 'theory' of evolution being one of them.
