The Austrailian from one thousand years ago can get the idea of rocks and I can get the same idea of rocks without getting it from him.

My initial reaction is that your idea of a rock, and his idea of a rock, are two different ideas even if they have the same content. They both sprang from brain based correlations.

All you have to do is push to idea to something complicated enough that his experience and yours would not correlate, and the change of coming up with the same idea would be infitesimal. What is similar is the rock, and there are only so many ideas you can have about a rock.
