The reason for yesterday's rally? It was clear to the market that the Fed had seen that their long series of inflation-fighting rises had finally done their job. LOL. I know that sounds hollow to you (and to me too in a way). But maybe the market just wanted to get the monkey off its back for a little while.

To some extent, end of quarter Window Dressing probably had something to do with the rally, but the early moves up in recent days by the energy and metals stocks were an early warning of the rally.

Friday is the last day of the quarter and should bring in more buying, perhaps after a brief, sideways consolidation pattern, with the rally likely to move to higher prices before a larger consolidation next week.

PS Since the Fed loves to talk from both sides of its mouth, the Market is free to interpret the FOMC statement in the most profitable way.
