"It is the same idea, so where does it exist, and how can we both have it if it exists 'someplace'?

It is not the same idea...no more than you and I are the same person just because we both have legs. You will never have my eyes, my hair, or my ideas. You might have eyes and hair and ideas but they belong to you. Because a rock is a discrete reality it will naturally be experienced in similar manner by intelligent creatures. Your experience of the rock (your "ideas") are concepts that arise from your perceptions. Your individual idea of a rock might be..it is hard, or it is hard to bite. A geologist might say it is calcite, or it can be melted at such and such a temperature. You might see funny pictures on the rock scratched on by a "God". A scientist might see fossils of trilobites.
